CPD Transparency in The Specification of Fire Resisting Glazing

The complexities of creating effective passive fire resisting barriers in buildings is often overlooked until projects are well advanced and long into the construction phase.
Fire resisting glazing systems can provide excellent passive fire protection when built into the construction, but early engagement in the process is essential.
One area that is constantly overlooked, is the supporting construction that a fire resisting glazed system needs to be fitted into. This is just one of the subjects covered by our RIBA and CABE assessed CPD.
Other crucial areas covered include the changing requirements relating to the fire testing, extended application and classification of products, to demonstration of fire resisting performance. The discussion focuses on these subjects, as well as the critical key factors that influence fire resisting glazed elements of construction.
